Reflections on my Pilates Holiday in Sicily
19 May 2018
There were six members of our group, including Stephanie Bain our wonderful Pilates Teacher.
We stayed in a fabulous 17th Century Villa with 21st Century luxury accommodation.
Each day started around 9.00 a.m. with an hour of Pilates before breakfast which was a fantastic way to begin the day.
Our Pilates lessons were held in a beautiful building with marble interior, which meant it was always cool compared with the temperature outside. This building was within the grounds of the Villa.
I had never taken part in a Pilates class before and was the only novice, however with Stephane’s excellent teaching and guidance I managed to keep up with the others.
We had organised sightseeing most days, being ferried around by a private chauffeur, returning to the Villa to fantastic meals cooked by our private chef.
Each evening around 5.00 p.m. we had another Pilates lesson which eased away any aches and pains from our daily excursions. This lesson also lasted one hour.
On days when we didn’t go sightseeing we were offered additional Pilates lessons which most of us took up because it was relaxing and fun.
I would certainly go on the next Pilates Holiday with Stephanie Bain as our Teacher.
